The Role:

Create exciting content that showcases student life, respond to briefs, and get featured on our channels. Whether it's TikToks, reels, or vlogs, we want your creativity to shine.

  • 1,000+ followers on Instagram or TikTok
  • Passion for creating engaging content
  • Willingness to post on both your own and Student Roost channels

Students with 1,000+ followers and strong engagement across social media.

Who can apply?

The hub is open to all UK university students with a minimum of 1,000 followers across Instagram or TikTok, and have a passion for content creation - whether you're a seasoned creator or just getting started, we'd love to work with you! You do not need to be a Student Roost resident to apply.

What kind of content will I need to create?

Based on your content style, Student Roost will supply a brief for you to inject your creativity into. From a day in the life to sharing study tips, we are keen to work with you on student-friendly content that our followers will love! These will be short form 30-60 second videos minimum.

How much time will I need to commit?

Adhoc briefs will be supplied to creators to accept or decline. There is no expectation to complete every brief, and we will tailor briefs depending on your desired content style. You may create one video, or work with us on multiple videos depending on how much you wish to contribute.

Where will the content be posted and will I get paid?

You will be paid per video that is posted to your own social media channel, plus reposted to StudentRoostUK. To qualify for payment, creators must have 1,000+ followers on Instagram or TikTok. All content must include #Ad or #Partner.

I want to create content but I do not want to post to my own channels

If you do not have 1,000+ followers or do not wish to post to your own channels, we are happy to work with you on UGC content to be posted to StudentRoostUK, however this will not be paid. This will still help to build your portfolio, feature in high-visibility campaigns and gain real-world experience.

How will I receive the brief and will I receive guidance on the content I create?

You'll receive a brief via email from the Marketing team. This will outline any key messages or themes to address, helping to shape ideas into engaging content, however we are open to interpretation and creativity from the individual creator.

All content must be approved via Student Roost ahead of posting.

What happens if my content isn’t approved?

You will only need access to a smartphone or camera to record. Editing software is optional but can enhance your videos. We recommend using capcut.

Can I leave the hub if I change my mind?

Absolutely. Content creation is optional and we will reach out with briefs that we see fit (based on your content style of city of study). If you wish to step away, just let us know!

What are the deadlines?

Deadlines for content will vary per brief and will be discussed with each creator.
